Function

Electromagnetic flow measurement is used widely in waste water treatement. However, this type of flow measurement only works well if the instrument and the fluid measured have the same electrical potential.

In case the instrument is not fitted with a reference electrode, Novotec offers ground disks, which are placed in the piping containing the flow measurement. As the disks are in contact with the fluid, they are connected to the ground terminal of the instrument and grounded.

This is especially interesting in case of use of plastic piping or non-grounded metal piping.

Inadequate potential equalization may result in false readings or heavily oscillating measurements.
